Adapted from John Schlesinger’s Oscar winning film, Waldo Salt’s screenplay, and the novel by James Leo Herlihy, Midnight Cowboy was the main theatre show at the Assembly Rooms Edinburgh during the 2006 Festival. It starred Olivier Award winning Con ‘O Neil as Ratso Rizzo and Charles Aitken as Joe Buck. The show was directed by John Clancy
